Dr. Stein Honored for His Leadership

Raymond Stein is honored to receive the Statesmanship Award, the highest award from the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO). Established in 1975, the Statesmanship Award recognizes those who demonstrate leadership and commitment to education in ophthalmology and allied ophthalmic personnel. The Statesmanship Award will be formally presented to Dr. Stein at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in November.

Dr. Stein is highly respected for his extraordinary work advancing the ophthalmology profession. As the medical director of Bochner Eye Institute, which was founded in 1929 by his grandfather, Dr. Maxwell Bochner, Dr. Stein has changed countless lives through quality eye care. The Statesmanship Award is not the first time Dr. Stein has been recognized for his many years of outstanding service. He has been honored with the “Honour Award” from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Contact Lens Society of America, and the “Innovators Award” from the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
